Urban Ridge Supplies•New York, NY
•$210,000 - $230,000

About The Position

EvolutionIQ is hiring an experienced Staff Product Designer to shape new product experiences around emerging technology in insurance claims management. The role focuses on defining how customers interact with agentic products, including what the system automates, explains, or leaves under human control, and how the product earns trust. The designer will partner with Product, Engineering, leadership, clients, and other stakeholders to bring clarity to high-stakes, ambiguous problems and drive decisions that advance the product and business. They will set strategic direction for customer experiences across AI products, establish a scalable experience architecture, and develop reusable agentic patterns and design-system foundations for an evolving platform. The role also involves client discovery, rapid prototyping, and usability testing to inform and validate experience decisions. The designer is expected to demonstrate exceptional design craft and raise the bar for colleagues through their work and feedback.

Requirements

  • 12+ years designing digital products.
  • Experience leading 0-to-1 and emerging-technology products in B2B enterprise software and highly regulated or complex problem spaces.
  • Demonstrated experience designing AI/ML or data-driven products, with fluency in AI system behavior and its impact on product direction, including agentic or human-in-the-loop experiences.
  • Exceptional systems thinking, including recognizing patterns, anticipating edge cases, designing for scale, and establishing reusable frameworks and standards.
  • Proven ability to set experience strategy and structure ambiguous, business-critical problems with little precedent.
  • End-to-end UX/product design experience delivering impactful solutions to challenging problems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions to influence cross-functional partners, executives, and clients.
  • Ability to raise the bar for others as an individual contributor through work and feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes that provide direction for customer experiences across the AI landscape.
  • Design interactions between people and AI agents, including how the system communicates uncertainty, automation, control, intervention, and recovery.
  • Define the experience model, including conceptual models, information architecture, core workflows, interaction patterns, and guiding principles.
  • Develop reusable agentic patterns and design-system foundations that can scale.
  • Conduct discovery directly with clients to inform experience decisions.
  • Validate concepts through rapid prototyping and usability testing.
  • Establish scalable experience architecture across a complex, evolving platform.
  • Partner with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional team members to shape the product and navigate tradeoffs involving user needs, AI/ML capabilities, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Influence product direction through design decisions communicated with product thinking, frameworks, research, and data.
  • Raise the bar for peers as an individual contributor through design work and feedback.
