About The Position
Join the emergency department at Baptist Homestead Hospital, a state-of-the-art community hospital serving Homestead, Florida, and surrounding areas. This 142-bed acute care hospital is part of the Baptist Hospital System and offers services including maternity, pulmonary, cancer, vascular services, rehabilitation, and wound care. Residency-trained emergency medicine physicians are encouraged to apply. The Homestead Hospital emergency department sees 64,830 patients annually and has 24 beds, including a 10-bed fast track. It provides 64 hours of physician coverage, support from advanced practice clinicians, a 16% admission rate, and 24-hour availability of X-ray, CT, and ultrasound. The department has a fully implemented scribe program, does not provide pediatrics, and uses Cerner documentation.
