About The Position

TeamHealth is hiring a hospitalist nocturnist physician for its established program with HCA at St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The facility is a Level II trauma-designated hospital with 368 beds, an open ICU, and a fully staffed intensivist program. The night team consists of two nocturnist physicians and one APC working 7 p.m.–7 a.m., averaging 20–23 total admissions plus cross coverage. Physicians respond to codes involving their own patients and assist the rapid response team as needed. The facility uses Meditech as its EMR.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.

• Provide nocturnist hospitalist coverage, including admissions and cross coverage.
• Respond to codes involving the physician’s own patients.
• Assist the rapid response team as needed.
