About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated hospitalist to join the collaborative team at Turkey Creek Medical Center, a flagship tertiary care facility near Knoxville, Tennessee, in Farragut. The position offers physicians an opportunity to focus on patient care in an environment emphasizing efficiency, autonomy, and work-life balance. The facility is a Level III trauma center with an open ICU; physicians are not required to perform procedures or manage ventilators, and may manage their own patients in the ICU if they wish. Codes are not handled by the hospitalist, and the ICU is covered by an intensivist. Day or night shifts are available, with a 7-on/7-off scheduling model.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care to patients at Turkey Creek Medical Center.
• Manage personal patients in the open ICU if desired; procedures and ventilator management are not required.
• Work collaboratively with specialty support and the intensivist-covered ICU team.
