Requirements

Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.
Pass a medical examination and drug screening.
Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Performs admission physical and neurological exam and medical/surgical history on all new admissions within 24 hours of admission
Provide ongoing medical treatment by making unit rounds and reviewing diagnostic results
Announces the medical emergency and initiates appropriate medical actions/interventions
Work with treatment teams and community hospitals to support consistent and informed care
Document medical issues, treatment plans and patient progress in accordance with policy
Attend meetings and contribute medical expertise to support hospital operations
