Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Able to perform essential job functions
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (post-conditional offer)
• Medical examination (post-conditional offer)

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and installations involving structures, furniture, drywall, doors, windows, and related items
• Inspect, clean, and adjust pumps, regulators, fixtures, and other plumbing components
• Test, maintain, and repair building electrical systems, lighting, and equipment
• Prepare and finish surfaces for painting, staining, or protective coatings
• Follow safety rules, use proper procedures, and maintain knowledge of trade standards
• Assist and direct semi-skilled workers as assigned by supervisors
