About The Position
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will provide patient-focused pharmaceutical care and use your clinical knowledge at the top of your license. Walmart Pharmacy operates in an energetic environment with resources and technology to support quality care and patient health and wellness. The annual salary range is $98,000 to $172,000 for a 40-hour workweek, prorated for other scheduled hours. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. A $25,000 sign-on offer is stated in the job title.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
- Pharmacy license by the job entry date.
- Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program, such as APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, or a state pharmacy association-sponsored program.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Ability to build relationships with customers and partners.
- Adaptability in addressing patient needs and a variety of medical concerns.
- Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
- Counsel customers about healthcare and prescription medication needs.
- Administer immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Model and guide pharmacy staff in appropriate customer service approaches.
