About The Position

Walmart's Staff Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to customers, helps patients understand their healthcare and prescription medication needs, and administers immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs. The pharmacist supports quality, heartfelt care and health and wellness in the community, while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations, HIPAA, and PHI guidelines. The role also models and guides pharmacy staff in appropriate customer service approaches. The annual salary range is $98,000 to $172,000 for a 40-hour workweek, prorated for other scheduled hours. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and the position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
• Pharmacy license by job entry date.
• Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program, such as APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, or a state pharmacy association-sponsored program.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Ability to foster relationships with customers and partners.
• Adaptability in responding to patient needs and a variety of medical concerns.
• Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
• Counsel customers regarding healthcare and prescription medication needs.
• Administer immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches.
