Staff Pharmacist, Nights 7on/7off
About The Position
Performs distribution, documentation, and compounding duties involving drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Reviews, compounds, dispenses, and monitors medication therapy for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, accounting for age-related dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states. Supervises pharmacy technician activities, including monitoring orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Maintains competency and develops professionally in pharmacy practice. Performs patient-focused clinical care activities throughout the hospital to help provide optimal medication therapy. This is an overnight 7-on/7-off pharmacist position.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor’s degree or higher in pharmacy.
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.
