About The Position

Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is seeking a highly energetic, clinically oriented pharmacist to remotely serve patients at acute-care hospitals through its Satellite Team. This work-from-home position focuses on clinical hospital pharmacy services, including medication monitoring, dosing, and review of patient medication therapy, while the hospital handles dispensing. The role supports continuity of care and provides a team environment and flexible work schedules. The position is part-time, follows a 7-on/7-off schedule from Thursday to Wednesday, and works evening hours. An active Texas pharmacist license is required, along with the ability to gain reciprocity in additional states required for practice. The anticipated hourly pay range is $48.70–$69.60, based on experience. The role is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

Hold an active pharmacy license in the state of residence and the state of original licensure.
Hold an active Texas pharmacist license.
Be able to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.
Be computer savvy and able to learn and successfully operate multiple pharmacy information systems.
Have excellent communication skills to interact successfully with other healthcare professionals and facilitate competent clinical care.

Nice To Haves

Two to four years of clinical hospital inpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform remote order entry and evaluate and verify CPOE orders.
Ensure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses.
Perform as a staff pharmacist as needed.
Consult with physicians and nursing staff.
Provide clinical medication dosing services.
Review and monitor patient profiles and laboratory values for therapeutic outcomes.
Coordinate access to medications according to facility policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
