Pharmacy Technician 7on/7off
About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking an energetic, clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join its remote pharmacy team. The role supports acute-care hospitals and community-based retail pharmacies by answering telephone calls from hospital staff and retail patients and assisting pharmacists with order-entry operations. The position is performed within Cardinal Health’s licensed, closed-door pharmacy in Dublin, Ohio; it is not a work-from-home position. The schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, Thursday through Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Weekend hours may vary. The technician works under a moderate degree of supervision on routine assignments, follows established procedures and quality guidelines, maintains appropriate licenses and certifications, and refers complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Must be registered or licensed as required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Work within established standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting and/or retail pharmacy.
- National certification.
- Three or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and other technicians with daily tasks.
- Handle calls and faxes from doctors.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Work on projects as requested by the Pharmacy Director.
- Perform order entry as needed.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with medical professionals and customers.
- Answer telephone calls from hospital staff and retail patients.
