About The Position

The Staff Nurse provides care for patients in the Intermediate Neurosciences Units and works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment. Nursing at Brigham and Women’s Hospital emphasizes excellent clinical practice and keeping patients and their families at the center of care, with a focus on understanding patients as individuals so they and their families feel known and cared for. This is a 36-hour-per-week position with a rotating work shift at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 75 Francis Street.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current registration in Massachusetts.
• Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of neuro or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
• Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
