About The Position

Heartland Dermatology is a growing, patient-focused dermatology practice in Kansas seeking a Staff Nurse (RN or LPN). The nurse supports patient care by conducting intake and education, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, administering treatments, and coordinating follow-up care. The role also includes clinical support and maintaining a clean, well-stocked clinic.

Requirements

• Active Kansas RN or LPN license; RN preferred.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience.
• CPR certified.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in EHR and basic medical math.
• Able to lift 20–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, obtain histories, and provide patient education.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and surgeries.
• Handle scribing, prescriptions, and prior authorizations.
• Administer treatments, injections, and phototherapy.
• Follow up on pathology, refill requests, and triage calls.
• Support patients with medication education and care coordination.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Restock supplies and maintain clean workspaces.
• Handle biohazard disposal and general clinic cleanliness.
• Assist with phone calls, laundry, and courier specimens.
