About The Position

Its team-based approach and support staff are intended to help staff provide excellent care in a private-practice environment. The Staff Nurse provides nursing care to clinical patients of diverse ages in a friendly, team-based environment. The role involves preparing and assessing patients, assisting physicians with procedures and treatments, documenting care, and facilitating communication between patients and physicians.

Requirements

Current Minnesota RN, LPN, or CMA licensure.
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Effective listening, observational, reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
Self-direction and good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic.
Ability to adapt resources to the needs of the situation.

Nice To Haves

Previous clinic experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills and electronic health record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Room and assess patients, anticipating appropriate preparation for the physician visit.
Assist the physician with procedures, treatments, and charting as necessary.
Document vital signs, medications, minor surgeries, procedures, and essential notes in the patient's medical record according to clinic policy.
Facilitate communication between patients and physicians and provide general clinic information professionally.
Use excellent customer service skills to positively affect the care experience for patients, their families, and other service partners.
