RN Staff Nurse Pool - Nights
About The Position
The Staff Nurse Pool provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on medical-surgical units, floating to units across Highland Park Hospital according to areas of greatest need. The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, guides assigned unlicensed assistive personnel, and collaborates with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. The nurse contributes to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730, with weekday scheduling and weekend and holiday rotations. Required travel is floating to all medical-surgical units at Highland Park Hospital.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
- At least one year of direct inpatient care experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
