About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool provides direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment, following the healthcare organization’s established policies, procedures, and protocols. The role implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions; coordinates care across disciplines; carries out physician and nursing orders; and assesses and coordinates patients’ care needs with the healthcare team. The position is full-time, nights, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham.
Requirements
- Obtain a BLS Provider credential within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
- Obtain an Alabama Board of Nursing Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential before hire or job transfer.
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Professional nursing licensure at the time of hire.
- One year of nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of bedside experience.
Responsibilities
