About The Position

Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only five National Cancer Institute Designated-Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State. We recently delivered intra-arterial Avastin directly into a malignant brain tumor, the first time this approach has ever been used. We pioneered use of low-dose CT scanning for early detection of lung cancer, and more breakthroughs are on the way. Here, courageous nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients, and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams. This is a per diem position working between the hours of 8:00am-8:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. You will be required to work a minimum of 1-2 shifts/month.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current New York State RN Licensure
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association
- At least two years of acute care RN experience in Oncology
