About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides clinical direction and coordinates a patient-care team in collaboration with medical staff to deliver a full range of patient services. The nurse practices within the full scope of licensure, assesses patient and family needs, implements plans of care, and reviews and evaluates their effectiveness. Care is based on the age-related needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with consideration for developmental and psychosocial needs, environmental safety, education needs, communication style, and level of understanding.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Current Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) recognition from the American Heart Association or Greater Sacramento Region.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- At least six months of area-specific acute care experience within the last two years.
- Knowledge of the nursing process for assessing patients’ physical and psychosocial needs.
- Awareness of adult learning principles for teaching patients and families.
