About The Position

The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will support the development and production of Terran R’s primary structures. The role provides Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during development and through initial prototype and flight builds, and partners with design, manufacturing, reliability, production, and external vendor teams. The engineer supports primary-structure work-center assembly on the shop floor, removes barriers to keep production moving, and drives process improvements across multiple work centers. The role also develops work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes and helps standardize processes across the manufacturing team. The Stage Manufacturing team owns the build of Terran R’s primary structures and works closely with engineers and technicians to develop and improve the systems and processes used to build the vehicle. The team focuses on solving production challenges, improving processes, and preparing for scaled launch production.
