About The Position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer supports the development and production of Terran R’s primary structures. The role provides Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during development and through the first prototype and flight builds. It works closely with design, manufacturing, and reliability engineers, internal production teams, and external vendors to solve production challenges and make progress. The engineer supports primary-structure assembly work on the shop floor by clearing barriers and keeping production moving. They improve processes across multiple work centers, incorporate lessons from the first Terran R build, create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes, and help standardize manufacturing processes. The Stage Manufacturing team builds Terran R’s primary structures and continually develops and improves the systems and factory processes used to build the vehicle.
