About The Position

The Staff II, Front Desk position is responsible for providing useful support and information to patrons regarding all recreation programs and uniform administrative assistance.

Requirements

16 years of age or older.
Have or obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within four (4) weeks of hire.
The successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current District policy requirements.
Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Ability to handle cash appropriately per District policy.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with the public in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Ability to learn new activities and all sports associated with the District.
Ability to exhibit sound judgment and integrity; accept guidance willingly.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Knowledge of related sports and activities associated with the Fieldhouse.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in a polite and professional manner.
Maintain a working knowledge of ongoing Fieldhouse and recreation activities.
Communicate District policies regarding memberships, front desk procedures, and facility use.
Direct people, calls, and messages to appropriate departments if unable to supply necessary information.
Collect payments from customers for all recreation and Fieldhouse programs.
Register customers for classes, passes, and programs; issue proper receipts.
Monitor and record equipment rentals and returns.
Open, close, and secure the Fieldhouse.
Assist with the set up and take down of Fieldhouse offerings and parties.
Fill out paperwork and balance transactions.
