Staff High Voltage System Architect and Simulation Engineer

Ford•Allen Park, MI
•$132,800 - $250,800•Hybrid

About The Position

The Staff High Voltage System Design and Simulation Engineer contributes to advanced development of the High Voltage (HV) system architecture for Ford’s Universal EV (UEV) platform. The role uses system simulation and analytical tools to model and characterize HV system performance, including HV voltage ripple, HV isolation, HV interference with the low-voltage (LV) system, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance. Simulation models are also used to evaluate HV and LV system interoperability and inform system design and safety strategies. The engineer works with software, mechanical packaging, vehicle integration, and EPA range teams to characterize system behavior and optimize performance. The position supports HV system development, component selection, protection strategy design, technical issue resolution, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. It is a hybrid position; candidates within commuting distance of a Ford hub may be required to work onsite four or more days per week.
