Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years servicing industrial X-ray systems, high-voltage systems, and/or vacuum technology.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: microfocus X-ray sources, high-voltage generators (90kV–450kV), or LINAC systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Working knowledge of radiation safety practices and regulatory compliance.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background and security checks for government and military site clearance.
  • Clean, valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to lift and install components weighing 55+ lbs and work around high-voltage and radiation-generating equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • NDT, DR, or CT inspection system service experience.
  • Experience with vacuum systems (turbo/roughing pumps), motion control, or industrial automation.
  • CE/UL regulatory compliance experience; LINAC RF/accelerator systems experience.
  • Embedded/microcontroller troubleshooting, soldering, and basic MRP/ERP knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission industrial X-ray systems, including setup, beam alignment, geometric calibration, and detector integration.
  • Commission microfocus open-tube systems, including tube conditioning and vacuum validation, as well as imaging software and CT acquisition setup.
  • Run Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on microfocus X-ray sources, high-voltage generators (90kV–450kV), LINAC systems, and associated high-voltage power supplies, cooling, vacuum, and motion subsystems.
  • Diagnose arcing, beam instability, focal spot drift, vacuum failures, and high-voltage breakdown; perform root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Troubleshoot high-voltage, control, and electromechanical subsystems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic software.
  • Conduct radiation safety surveys and leakage testing, verify interlocks, and support regulatory inspections.
