About The Position

Azira is hiring a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership as it brings its products and technology together under the Azira One platform. This senior individual-contributor role spans front-end architecture, APIs, services, data, and cloud systems. The engineer will turn complex customer and business needs into scalable, intuitive solutions and partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and SRE. The role has no direct reports; its influence comes through technical judgment, hands-on execution, and improving the effectiveness of the engineering organization. The position is US-based and fully remote, with collaboration across engineering teams in the US, India, and France. The engineer will build and operate product experiences across the stack, lead complex cross-functional technical initiatives, shape platform architecture and integrations, and help establish practical engineering standards. They will improve performance, reliability, observability, and security; guide technical discovery and planning; review code and architecture; mentor engineers; and champion responsible AI in software development and product capabilities.

Requirements

Significant experience building and operating modern, customer-facing software products at Staff, Lead, Principal, or equivalent senior individual-contributor level.
Deep expertise across front-end and back-end engineering, including modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks and component-based architecture.
Experience designing APIs, services, and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of relational and non-relational data models, application security, and system integration.
Experience building cloud-based applications on AWS or another major public cloud.
Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability, and a strong grasp of performance, scalability, and reliability.
Track record leading technically complex initiatives across multiple teams and influencing without formal authority.
Ability to navigate existing systems, improve legacy code thoughtfully, and make sound decisions about rebuilding versus evolving systems.
Experience working effectively in a distributed, global environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, and iterate on high-quality product experiences across the front end and back end.
Lead technical delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple products, services, and engineering teams.
Shape the architecture and integration of the Azira One platform, simplifying fragmented systems and reducing unnecessary complexity.
Partner with Product and Design to translate customer and business needs into scalable, intuitive, responsive, and accessible solutions for data and analytics products.
Design and evolve reliable, secure, and maintainable APIs, services, and data flows.
Develop and improve engineering standards for architecture, code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery.
Improve performance, reliability, observability, and security, partnering with SRE to prepare capabilities for production.
Lead technical discovery, break ambiguous initiatives into clear plans, and surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early.
Conduct code and architecture reviews and mentor engineers as they develop broader technical leadership.
Champion responsible AI adoption in software development and AI-driven product capabilities.
Collaborate with engineering teams across the US, India, and France.
