About The Position

Analog Devices is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), a hybrid software engineer and technical consultant who embeds with strategic customers to implement, customize, and scale ADI’s AI and edge technology within real-world infrastructure. The role is customer-embedded and focused on AI- and software-centric applications engineering. The engineer will develop production-grade code, including custom data pipelines, API integrations, and MLOps/AI workflows. Working on-site with clients and alongside ADI teams, the FDE frames customer problems, owns the solution architecture, and iterates rapidly to achieve measurable customer outcomes. The role also creates reusable, ADI-owned assets. Travel is required, at 10% of the time. The position is a day shift role. The expected wage range for a new hire is $197,800 to $271,975. Actual pay may vary based on work location, experience, education, training, market data, internal pay equity, and other bona fide factors. Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience building production software.
Strong Python skills.
Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and MLOps/AI workflows.
Comfort deploying and debugging on-site in complex enterprise environments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate customer needs into architecture.
Willingness to travel and embed with strategic clients.

Nice To Haves

Background in Edge AI, LLM/agentic systems, or signal processing.
Prior forward-deployed, field, or solutions-engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Write production-grade code for custom data pipelines, API integrations, and MLOps/AI workflows.
Embed on-site with clients and partner across CSG, VBU, SDP, and Edge AI teams.
Frame customer problems and own the architecture that solves them.
Drive rapid iteration and field learning to deliver measurable customer outcomes.

Deploy and debug solutions on-site in complex enterprise environments.
Travel and embed with strategic clients.
