About The Position

Lead the company’s technical engagement with industry organizations including AMCA, ASHRAE, and other regulatory and standards-setting bodies. Provide technical leadership across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Application Engineering functions. Lead complex cross-functional development initiatives involving fan products, engineering tools, software applications, and emerging technologies. Mentor and develop engineering talent while strengthening the company’s technical capabilities and industry influence. Support strategic customer relationships through technical consultation, troubleshooting, training, and product co-development. Help position Twin City Fan as an industry thought leader and preferred technical partner within the air movement and control industry.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering related to fan design and application engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in product development, application engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory testing, product qualification, and validation.
  • Strong working knowledge of AMCA, UL, ISO, CE, seismic, and related standards affecting fan products.
  • Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience serving on AMCA, ASHRAE, or similar industry committees.
  • Knowledge of testing instrumentation and laboratory operations.
  • Experience developing engineering software tools.
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, Blazor, and MSSQL-based engineering applications.

  • Key strategic product development initiatives advanced or completed, including next-generation plenum fan, condenser fan, or other strategic product platforms.
  • Air path development efforts completed and transitioned into commercialization activities.
  • PDAST and other engineering software initiatives successfully implemented and adopted by stakeholders.
  • Fan Engineering seminar content modernized and expanded.
  • Technical white papers and industry-focused content published to support key growth markets.
  • Major customer technical engagements successfully supported, including troubleshooting, co-development projects, and application engineering initiatives.
  • Junior engineers actively mentored and demonstrating measurable technical growth.
  • Team members participating effectively within industry organizations under Staff Engineer guidance.
  • Strong technical collaboration established across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Application Engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on fan design, aerodynamics, fan ratings, and application engineering.
  • Lead cross-functional technical development projects involving products, systems, and engineering software tools.
  • Contribute directly to air path development, product qualification, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Represent Twin City Fan within AMCA, ASHRAE, and other industry organizations.
  • Evaluate and interpret industry standards, regulatory requirements, and testing methodologies.
  • Develop and deliver technical training to engineers, sales personnel, customers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Create technical white papers, presentations, and educational content.
  • Support field performance investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to intellectual property and patent matters.
  • Mentor engineers and technical professionals across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to capture customer requirements and market needs.
  • Establish clear priorities aligned with company strategy.
  • Communicate expectations and project status proactively.
  • Focus effort on initiatives with the greatest organizational impact.
  • Align stakeholders around shared objectives.
  • Connect technical decisions to customer outcomes and business objectives.
