About The Position

This position is contingent upon Contract Award. Job specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. The Staff Engineer will work directly with the Government personnel in meeting the engineering needs of the project.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working on highly complex and critical Department of Defense (DoD) related (any Service Branch) Test and Evaluation projects.
  • Active participation in relevant industry standards committees related to T&E.
  • Specific experience in military T&E methodologies, Test Planning, Instrumentation planning.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of new approaches to executing a T&E mission.
  • Experience creating solutions when gaps in T&E arise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required.
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree desired.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Test Engineer) desired.

Responsibilities

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience dealing with the T&E of weapon systems components, subsystems, and systems, including a demonstrated track record of successful T&E programs and successful collaboration on T&E teams.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive T&E strategies.
  • Strong understanding of military standards and regulations related to T&E (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
  • Demonstrated training and mentoring skills, with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge and develop technical expertise in others. A commitment to objective assessment and continuous improvement is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex test data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively work within T&E teams.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and priorities in a fast-paced T&E environment.
