About The Position

The Virtual Assembly Line (VAL) team at 1KOMMA5° is responsible for building and scaling growth and operations systems, including MarTech, CRM, Payment, Fulfillment, and Installation, to support global scaling with maximum efficiency and quality. This role will own the technical direction for VAL's growth and operations engineering domain, ensuring architecture aligns with product direction and holding the team accountable for execution. The position involves setting the technical bar, tackling complex problems, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and architecting systems for AI agents. A key focus will be driving the VAL team's shift to agentic engineering, reshaping workflows for safe agent execution with human accountability. The role also includes mentoring engineers, building a high-performing engineering culture, and embedding security and reliability as customer value. Technologies include AI-assisted development with Cursor/Claude, agentic coding, TypeScript (React, Nest.js, Next.js, VueJS), Ruby on Rails, Flutter, Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Terraform/IaC, Vercel), Datadog, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, SQLMesh, Looker, Linear, Notion, Figma, and Miro.

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders in business terms and understanding the technical implications of their requirements
  • Experience driving technical alignment within a team in fast-paced environments, including making and following through on critical technical decisions
  • Track record of leading a team through a major workflow or tooling shift, with the judgment to know where automation (including AI agents) can run safely and where human sign-off stays mandatory
