Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
About The Position
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches. This role involves defining and managing automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities. The engineer will also provide prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology. This position is part of an International Team working on a greenfield software project for Deutsche Telekom Group, impacting millions of customers by supporting the request and installation tracking of Fiber network services. The product is a set of applications and websites designed to support end-to-end processes including Fiber pre-ordering, ordering, installation, service management, and customer support.
Requirements
- Secondary education of Information technologies – Master
- Experiences with ICT System – 4 years
- Experience with Scripting (Bash, Python) – Expert
- Experience with Linux Operating System – Expert
- Experience with OTC / AWS / Azure – Intermediate
- Experience with Docker – Expert
- Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift – Advanced
- Experience with Git – Expert
- Experience with Jenkins / GitLab – Advanced
- Experience with Maven / Gradle – Intermediate
- Experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet – Advanced
- Experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana – Advanced
- Experience with Networking - Expert
- Experience with Security - Advanced
- Communicative, team player and have analytical thinking, training skills and presentation skills
- Speak English – Upper intermediate (B2)
- Experiences with Agile Methodology, Scrum and SAFe
Responsibilities
- Ensure automation of deployments, configuration management, containerization, release management, monitoring, lifecycle support (pipelines), information and documentation services.
- Research and grow state-of-the-art automation solutions.
- Designs, develops, tests and implements infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Manages source code, configuration management, release management, build and deployment activities.
- Setups and manages integration with partner applications.
- Conducts performance analyses and tunings as well as error analyses and troubleshooting.
- Consults and implements new innovative technologies to satisfy innovation strategy.
- Creates concepts for further automation of services, processes and/or operating models.
- Directly support the project teams in the development, quality assurance accompanying development as well as planning and implementation of product releases.
- Continuously optimizes the development and system infrastructure.
- Provides consulting to project teams on areas of expertise also Prototypes/Proof of Concept solutions.
- Researches and develops in assigned technology, determines business requirements, proposes changes and prepares implementation plans.
