Staff Accountant - Managed Accounting Services
About The Position
Pulakos CPAs, a local, independent CPA firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and provide professional full-charge, bookkeeping and accounting services for our clients in New Mexico, working out of our Managed Accounting Services department. The Staff Accountant will work with our clients on: General Ledger and Financial Statements, Payroll and related reporting and General assistance and consultation with related matters beyond basic bookkeeping. We offer a flexible work arrangement that allows our accountants to work from our office, at the client's office or remotely as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in payroll, general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Effective user of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working at a CPA or bookkeeping firm.
- Formal education in Accounting (degree, college classes, certifications).
Responsibilities
- Provide professional full-charge, bookkeeping and accounting services for clients.
- Manage General Ledger and Financial Statements.
- Handle Payroll and related reporting.
- Provide general assistance and consultation with accounting matters beyond basic bookkeeping.
