About The Position
StorageMart is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their Home Office Accounting team. This role provides hands-on experience in real estate acquisitions, audits, and complex financial operations within a fast-paced environment. The position is office-based with regular weekday hours and offers opportunities for professional training and career growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare and post recurring journal entries
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Assist in real estate acquisition support — loan tracking, payments, and document prep
- Collaborate with finance and acquisitions teams
- May assist with market analysis or lender communications
