About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to the Chief Financial Officer in assisting with Accounts Receivable Billing, Payroll processing; reconciling balance sheet accounts; assisting with generating Income Audit; Assisting Banking on-line Cash Management; and perform A/P month-end; Monthly accruals.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Two to Three year’s previous experience in resort or accounting industry
  • Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to use Windows-based computer systems; Property Management Systems
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet/Word software
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Work without direct daily supervision.
  • Enforce resort’s standards, policies, and procedures with all levels of resort staff.
  • Prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records for all adjustments posted.
  • Maintain basic service standards of phone etiquette.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Opera Property Management System software.
  • Familiar with Great Plains / Dynamics Accounting Software.
  • Intuitive ability to identify problem sources and resolutions.
