About The Position

This is a full-time, on-site accounting role with Augusta ENT PC, a medical practice that has been providing specialty care for 40 years across multiple locations. The Staff Accountant will manage the organization's accounts payable function, support general accounting activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. This role requires a blend of operational and technical accounting skills to maintain accurate financial records, ensure timely vendor payments, and uphold internal controls.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable responsibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Highly detail-oriented
• Organized
• Analytical
• Able to manage multiple competing priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, Divvy, or similar, preferred
• Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-location, and/or multi-entity accounting experience, preferred
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience in a multi-entity environment
• Desire to continuously improve accounting processes
• Knowledge of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
