About The Position

Nedap, a global technology company founded in 1929, is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Staff Accountant to join its North American team in Burlington, MA. This role will partner with the Finance Manager to build a scalable finance function and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger support. The Staff Accountant will also prepare and reconcile payroll entries, support compliance filings, and identify opportunities for process improvement in a rapidly growing organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience across AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
  • Payroll experience, including preparing and reconciling payroll entries.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting terms and practices.
  • Exposure to sales and use tax or other compliance filings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail, accurate data entry, and strong follow-through on recurring tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and improve them as the organization grows.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, HR, and Operations.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required, including openness to using AI tools to support reporting and workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS/payroll system is preferred.
  • Experience owning the accounting function in a small or high-growth company is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processing and payment activities.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities including collections follow-up.
  • Complete corporate bank reconciliations and monitor business banking transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile bi-monthly payroll entries in partnership with HR.
  • Support 401(k) remittance and related reporting from the finance side.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain assigned general ledger accounts, including analyses and corrections as needed.
  • Support sales and use tax processes and related reconciliations.
  • Ensure sales and use tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and compliance reports.
  • Assist with new customer and vendor onboarding and modification of existing accounts, ensuring accounts stay current and reconciled month to month.
  • Support ongoing process improvement and ERP-related initiatives.
  • Support the Finance Manager on ad hoc projects as assigned.
