Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

At least one year experience in accounting or a related field preferred; recent college graduates will be considered

Responsibilities

Prepare various financial statements and other internal or external financial reports and distribute the monthly financial reporting packages in accordance with company policy
Ensure accuracy and legal compliance of reports
Organize, update and maintain the general ledger including creation of appropriate journal entries
Research and document accounting activities to ensure compliance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Perform account analysis and/or account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely identification of items requiring further action
Prepare information in support of annual external audit, including preparation of audit schedules
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
Reconcile and review bank accounts
