About The Position

Looking for an opportunity for growth and development in finance? North Florida Surgeons, P.A. is looking for a Staff Accountant. We are willing to develop the right talent! The Staff Accountant has the responsibility for the day-to-day accounting needs of North Florida Surgeons, PA and related entities (NFS). The individual will provide accounting and customer service to all of NFS.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Experience in Microsoft products is necessary.
Accounting: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate: Jacksonville, FL 32223: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

0-3 years of accounting experience.
Oracle NetSuite experience.
Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with cash management operations including daily cash administration, management of current accounts, and bank transactions.
Assist with month-end close, payroll processing and accounts payable.
Support the preparation and the implementation of the annual budget.
Support the annual external and internal audits.
Assist in general ledger preparation, audit preparation and support of budget and forecast activities.
Monitors cash balances and reconciles/reports any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Reconcile check batches in Athena Health.
Handles all returned checks and communicates with appropriate department.
Daily reconciliation of bank transactions.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts based on predetermined frequency.
Reconcile Income Statement accounts and make monthly adjustments as needed.
Reconcile intercompany accounts and submit funds transfer requests as necessary.
Prepare and reconcile monthly journal entries based on end of month checklist.
Assist other finance & accounting department members as needed.
In an absence, ability to cover for all other finance & accounting team members.
