About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for advanced reconciliations and accounting department functions. The role handles month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed reporting for the CFO. The position is primarily based in a corporate office and includes collaboration with internal departments, customers, and vendors. Some travel is required, including occasional overnight travel, and the role may involve visits to construction sites or operational locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Military service may be considered in lieu of education or certification experience, as applicable.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, with overnight travel on occasion.
• Must undergo a drug test and background check before the start date.
• Ability to handle occasional lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely and maintain situational awareness in office, construction-site, and operational environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Previous experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role, preferably 1–2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide and complete reporting for senior management.
• Produce income statement analytics and research discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete additional reporting and tasks delegated by the Regional Controller, VP Finance, or CFO.
• Complete year-end, quarterly, and ad hoc audit requests.
• Analyze monthly financial statements and conduct P&L reviews with assigned branches.
