About The Position

The St. Olaf Ice Arena Student Worker (WS-ST2) is a student employee position responsible for operating as a Zamboni Driver/Ice Arena Attendant. Key duties include resurfacing the ice between users, ensuring users are directed to assigned locker rooms, distributing skates during open skate sessions, and performing general cleaning and upkeep of the arena. This role also involves assisting customers, managing game day duties such as moving nets and shoveling, and ensuring the schedule is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Resurface the ice between users.
• Ensure all users make it to locker rooms as assigned.
• Hand out skates during open skates.
• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the arena.
• Keep the schedule on time while performing resurfaces.
• Make sure all users have necessary tools (nets, pads, skill tools, cones, etc).
• Assist customers with finding locker rooms.
• Assist customers with getting skates during open skate.
• Perform game day duties (moving nets, extracting water from post holes, shoveling).
