About The Position

The Sr Tech Field Engineer installs, repairs, and maintains product and component hardware and software, primarily at customer premises. The role ensures systems operate as designed and are maintained or upgraded according to requirements. The engineer collaborates with technical colleagues to deliver timely, effective, and seamless service; schedules service; completes required administration; and works with customers to support satisfaction and understanding of product functionality. The position provides field engineering support for an assigned base of large or complex clients and takes ownership of onsite service activities. It performs advanced maintenance and low-complexity installation work, resolves client problems, supports scheduled installs, and contributes to service delivery improvements. This is a 14-month temporary assignment located in Ashburn, Virginia. Work involves driving, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
May require technical certification or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

Provide the full range of Field Engineering support for an assigned base of large or complex clients.
Take complete ownership of onsite service activity.
Perform advanced-level maintenance on products, including low-complexity installation activities.
Provide technical feedback on equipment, systems, and processes to improve service delivery.
Use advanced tools and technical knowledge to resolve client problems and conduct scheduled installs.
Identify and resolve systemic issues within the team.
Provide technical assistance and expertise to other team members.
Contribute to improved client services metrics reporting and documentation.
Monitor technical and process issues and proactively inform the manager and/or team, including recommendations for improvements.
Schedule services, complete required administration, and support customer satisfaction and understanding of product functionality.
