About The Position

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend services and APIs for identity and access management within Visa's B2C platform. Collaborate with engineering leads, product managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and implement features using Java, JavaScript, React.js, Angular framework, Spring Boot Rest APIs, and microservices architecture. Participate in system design discussions, provide architectural input, and ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews. Work with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Integrate secure authentication protocols such as OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML for consumer access. Perform methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Splunk to manage the software development lifecycle. Maintain strong adherence to security and performance best practices. Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption. Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. SW Engineer – related occupation with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. SW Engineer – related occupation with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
2 years of Java and web service development experience
