Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office four days a week.
Requirements
- Experience with complex, tightly integrated applications and services
- Expertise in building and deploying AI-powered systems
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive alignment among diverse technical leads
- Technology-agnostic
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Ruby, TypeScript, Go, or Python
- Hands-on experience developing, building, and deploying AI systems
Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture, ensuring the quality, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-deployed software systems
- Partner closely with other Staff Engineers to align and coordinate technical investments across major product areas
- Build consensus and drive alignment among diverse technical leads
- Quickly orient to new codebases and tools
- Proactively explore and champion emergent technologies and their potential to solve complex problems
- Prioritize the growth of both junior and senior engineers
- Adept at pairing, providing insightful feedback through one-on-ones, and offering comprehensive written reviews of technical proposals and pull requests
- Actively support teams in their daily development as a technical mentor
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues with deep expertise
- Serve as a strategic thinker who creatively advances broad initiatives
