Sr. Supply Chain Specialist

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Austin, TX

About The Position

AMD, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Supply Chain Specialist to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including inventory control, logistics, and material flow. The role analyzes and coordinates supply chain functions within a semiconductor organization, reviews production schedules and process information, and identifies and implements improvements. The specialist analyzes supply-demand matching using MRP systems, investigates shortages and surpluses, and drives corrective actions. The role reviews MRP inputs with functional owners to support accountability and data accuracy, provides product intelligence for inventory forecasting, and distinguishes the demand plan from the revenue plan. It also works to close revenue dedication gaps, improve product health, recommend demand-crafting opportunities, and resolve production problems or minimize costs through quality-control procedures. The specialist represents Product Planning and presents supply and inventory plans to internal customers and at cross-functional meetings. Other work includes dispositioning inactive or held inventory, identifying demand mix for factory planning and the Graded Die Forecast, leading OPN constraints to align release dates, coordinating new BOM creation with data management, working with Central Planning on BOM part connections and disconnections, and conducting root-cause analysis and recommending dispositions for inventory forecasts and financial close. Under supervision, the role exercises judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria. Multiple openings are available. Travel is not required.
