About The Position

Amica Insurance is seeking paid interns for its Accounting Department in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The summer internship provides students with hands-on experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and business decision-making. Interns contribute to projects involving financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, while identifying process-improvement opportunities and delivering actionable insights. The role includes updating financial models; analyzing financial data and variances between actual, planned, and forecasted results; preparing management reports and summaries; and supporting the tools, processes, and systems used for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis. Interns collaborate across teams to strengthen financial processes. Successful completion of the internship may lead to consideration for full-time employment.

Requirements

Have completed sophomore or junior year at an accredited college or university before the start of the summer internship and plan to continue undergraduate studies in the fall.
Pursue a degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or another related field.
Have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Submit a resume that includes GPA.
Be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Update financial models used in planning and forecasting.
Perform quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and evaluate differences between actual, planned, and forecasted results.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.
Support the tools, processes, and systems used for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis projects.
Help identify process-improvement opportunities and deliver actionable insights.
Collaborate across teams to strengthen financial processes.
