Sr Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis
About The Position
The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis collaborates with business and finance teams on forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, financial and deal modeling, performance measurement, reporting, and analysis. The role supports the development and implementation of transformation projects, optimizes analytics tools and process strategies, and reviews financial or deal model performance to identify and implement enhancements. The analyst works with stakeholders to gather business forecast inputs, summarize insights, and present findings to senior leadership. The position is based in Austin, Texas, and follows PayPal’s balanced hybrid work model for the majority of employees: three days in the office and two days at the office or home workspace.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and forecasting processes.
- Review business performance on weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather inputs and summarize insights.
- Produce executive-level presentations.
- Work with finance and technical teams to drive process and system improvements.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders, manage expectations, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Consult with finance leads to review and discuss key issues, risks, and dependencies for assigned initiatives.
- Document and escalate potential risks and issues, assist in developing mitigation strategies, and support their implementation.
- Review financial or deal model performance and implement enhancements as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of transformation projects and optimize analytics tools and process strategies.
