About The Position

The Wireless Platforms and SIM team within AT&T’s Device Technology organization implements SIM and eSIM solutions that support multiple business functions and mission-critical platforms managing the SIM/eSIM lifecycle. This role supports the modernization and cloud migration of wireless platforms and explores agentic AI to improve operational efficiency, automation, and reliability. The engineer works with architecture, engineering, operations, and product teams to design, test, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for future wireless connectivity. The position is described as an opportunity for an early-career engineer interested in wireless technologies, cloud platforms, automation, and AI-enabled operations. It requires office presence at least five days per week in Bothell, Washington; relocation is not offered.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in network engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role.
• Foundational understanding of wireless communication concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively with product and engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
• Exposure to SIM, eSIM, mobile networks, and wireless platform technologies.
• Cloud certification or relevant experience in cloud or networking.
• Experience in automation or agentic AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support transformation and modernization of platforms managing SIM and eSIM lifecycles.
• Assist with cloud migration activities, including analysis, testing, validation, and implementation support.
• Apply wireless communication, cloud computing, automation, and agentic AI knowledge to improve platform efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and with high quality.
• Learn new technologies and contribute to process improvement and platform modernization efforts.
