About The Position

The Americas Services & Projects Sourcing Leader will strategically develop and manage a global supply chain of Wind services and projects to geographically diverse locations, while driving commercial advantage through achievement of safety, quality, cost, usage and delivery goals. This Leader will manage a global team to contract, plan and purchase equipment and labor volume across Wind, while reducing costs and meeting safety, quality and delivery requirements from the supply base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of cranes and/or labor sourcing
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, estimated at 30%

Responsibilities

  • Drive cost out projects and negotiations with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving annual services and projects budgets
  • Manage supplier contracts, supply agreements and terms and conditions with preferred suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned
  • Develop and execute long term global commodity strategies for a diverse group of suppliers, with varying levels of complexity
  • Collaborate with global supporting resources (engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve schedule and maximize utilization of purchased services
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers and technology, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management
  • Define and drive use of preferred suppliers plus develop alternate sources to reduce schedule constraints and cost
  • Interact with site teams to understand business needs and develop supply chain strategies that optimize total requirements
  • Develop technical and market expertise in cranes and labor
