The Sr. Solutions Architect III provides strategic technical leadership for the program’s suite of products, driving the architecture, modernization, and long-term evolution of enterprise cloud, DevSecOps, platform, AI/ML, and Zero Trust capabilities supporting mission operations. This role partners closely with Product Management, technical leads, and government stakeholders to shape the product roadmap, guide architectural direction, and ensure delivery of scalable, resilient, and future-ready solutions. The Technical Director also serves as a trusted advisor to customer technical leadership while fostering innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth across the portfolio. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Technical Solution Architect or similar role leading enterprise-scale technical architecture, platform engineering, or modernization initiatives across cloud, DevSecOps, platform, or cybersecurity environments.
  • Extensive experience with one or more of the following: cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, platform services, AI/ML, Zero Trust solutions at scale across multiple classification domains (IL5 to IL6+) simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies, identify modernization opportunities, and influence technical direction across a portfolio of products and services.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate enterprise technical architecture and visual system designs, including experience producing architecture artifacts such as integration diagrams, operational views, and DoDAF-aligned documentation.
  • Strong leadership experience mentoring and guiding senior engineers, technical leads, and cross-functional technical teams within complex delivery organizations, including management of geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations and mission environments.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management and executive stakeholders to shape technology strategy, roadmap priorities, and long-term platform evolution.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with government or enterprise customer stakeholders and operate effectively with senior technical counterparts, including Chief Engineers, Senior Technical Advisors (STAs), or enterprise architects.
  • Experience supporting business development, technical solutioning, capture activities, proposals, or strategic growth initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies, identify modernization opportunities, and influence technical direction across a portfolio of products and services.
  • Experience operating within Agile and SAFe delivery environments, including participation in Program Increment (PI) Planning, backlog refinement, dependency management, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and future evolution of the portfolio, guiding the design and modernization of enterprise cloud, DevSecOps, platform, AI/ML, and Zero Trust capabilities that support complex mission environments.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Technical Leads, and government stakeholders to shape roadmaps, drive architectural decisions, mentor engineering leaders, and ensure delivery of scalable, resilient, and operationally effective solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical partner to customer leadership, helping identify innovation opportunities, improve platform health and reliability, and position the program for long-term strategic growth and mission impact.
  • Direct internal engineering excellence by driving delivery innovation and optimizing operational workflows to ensure high-quality, scalable performance across the portfolio.
  • Systematically identify technical bottlenecks and architect scalable solutions that enable end-users to achieve mission objectives with increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the program’s three areas of responsibility and their Technical Leads in translating complex requirements into phased architectural milestones, ensuring technical deliverables are strategically interleaved throughout the development roadmap.
