About The Position

This role serves as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support. The Solutions Architect III will analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assess migration feasibility. They will architect hybrid AWS and on-premises solutions, guide customers on architecture choices, and inform them of best practices for efficient and cost-effective AWS adoption. The role ensures success in building, migrating, and deploying applications, software, and services on the AWS platform. Responsibilities include briefing senior executive teams on customer progress with AWS adoption, defining future platform requirements for onboarding and migration to AWS, and authoring AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers. The Solutions Architect III will also share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community and engage with developers, system administrators, software architects, project managers, directors, and C-level customers to define cloud strategies and deployments. A key aspect of the role is educating customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or another related occupation.
• Employer will accept Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's and one year of experience.
• Must have one year of experience in designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications.
• Must have one year of experience in architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java.
• Must have one year of experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop.
