About The Position

This role involves acting as a technical liaison between customers and service engineering teams, analyzing application portfolios, and assessing migration feasibility. The Solutions Architect will design hybrid AWS and on-premises solutions, guide customers on architecture choices, and ensure efficient and cost-effective adoption of AWS. Responsibilities include overseeing the success of building, migrating, and deploying applications on the AWS platform, briefing senior executives on customer progress, and defining future platform requirements. The role also requires authoring customer-facing publications like whitepapers, sharing best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community, and educating customers on the value proposition of AWS to ensure successful deployments.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or another related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• One year of experience in designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications.
• One year of experience in architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java.
• One year of experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop.
• Up to 25% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
• Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and access migration feasibility.
• Architect hybrid AWS and on-premises solutions.
• Guide customers on architecture choices and inform them of the best practices to adopt AWS efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure success in building, migrating, and deploying applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Brief senior executive team on customer progress of adopting the AWS and define future platform requirement for on-boarding and migration to AWS.
• Author AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
• Engage with developers, system administrators, software architects, project manager, directors, and C-level customers to define cloud strategies and deployments.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensure that solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS.
