About The Position

Netspend is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java, with knowledge of Core Java, microservices, Kafka, AWS, and Advanced Java. The role involves hands-on work on enterprise or large-scale projects and participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle. The position is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, and candidates based in India are invited to apply.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience.
Excellent knowledge of Core Java and microservices.
Hands-on knowledge of Kafka, Spring Boot microservices, and AWS.
Good understanding of Advanced Java skills.
Basic database skills, including SQL.
Experience with a version control system; Bitbucket or Git is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Strong proficiency in Java.
Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
Knowledge of RESTful web services and API development.
Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL database technologies.
Understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.

Relevant certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Spring Boot applications using Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
Write clean, efficient, well-documented code that follows industry standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug existing applications and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Keep up with emerging software-development trends and technologies and apply them to improve application quality and performance.
Write and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability and functionality.
Work with databases and data structures to store, retrieve, and manipulate data.
Implement security measures to protect applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
Document technical specifications, user manuals, and other relevant information to support communication and knowledge transfer.
